Antique French hand high quality made and embroidered batiste child's dress, lace trim and white work.
Almost 27" long, 11" across front bodice.
The white work scalloped hem about 10" deep.
Puffed sleeves 2½", hand applied lace trim with white work.
4 mother of pearl buttons closing back, hand sewn button hole loops, one of the lower two missing loop.
Lace trim around neck and sleeve edges.
All the seams are joined with extremely fine ladder work.
Another well cared-for dress from a private collection of late 19th and early 20th century children's clothing.

I have personally washed and ironed this dress, it's in wonderful condition.
