Georg Jensen Serving Spoon, Danish Acanthus high quality Sterling Silver Sauce or Compote Ladle w/ Curved Handle, Vintage Post-1945
Elegant vintage Georg Jensen Acanthus pattern serving spoon is hand crafted in solid sterling silver. Small cream sauce ladle can be used for many purposes, and is sometimes known as a compote spoon (a sweet fruit dessert). Egg shaped bowl is generously sized, with the handle having a graceful curve.
Acanthus flatware pattern (a.k.a. “Dronning”) was designed in 1917 by Johann Rohde for Georg Jensen. This piece was made in Denmark with the Georg Jensen trademark style dating to post-1945.
CONDITION: surface wear with light scratching appropriate for its age and use, and some patina in the bowl.
We are including a vintage Georg Jensen pouch (**not original to the piece**) with its former New York location (667 Fifth Avenue).
