Vintage Tohono O'odham (Papago) Indian “Coyote Tracks” Coiled Plaque
Handwoven by a high quality Tohono O'odham weaver, sun dried yucca and the darker devil's claw are securely wrapped around a beargrass bundles to make this plaque's traditional designs.
The four “coyote tracks” design around center are made with devil's claw over the yucca strips.
Ticking stitch on edge made with the devil's claw plant.
All Papago creations are unique and one of kind!
Very tightly woven and in excellent vintage condition.
No frays, cracks or stains.
The Native American Tohono O'odham (People of the Desert) Tribe reside in the Sonoran Desert areas of Arizona and Mexico.
Tohono O'odham Indian baskets are handmade using Native Plants such as Yucca, Beargrass,and Devils Claw.
