Vintage 70's smoking jacket. Made with Viyella fabric, a blend of wool & cotton from England (I learned it was first woven in 1893 & it was the first branded fabric in the world, what?!) Made of 55% merino wool and 45% cotton. Super soft and not itchy imo.
Cuffed sleeves (they don't uncuff). Trimmed front edges. Pockets (3). Self tie belt.
Gorgeous stained glass sketch-style print. Can fit a variety of sizes due to it being a wrap & closes w belt. Works for men or women etc. Please check measurements listed below.
Beautiful vintage condition, spotted one very small moth (?) hole at edge of a pocket, not very noticeable in my opinion.
This fabric is known for being extremely resistant to shrinkage, so it can be machine washed on gentle cycle. One 1920s advertisement called it a "guaranteed unshrinkable fine wool". That being said, I hand washed, hung to dry, then lightly steamed.
