Hand made, one of a kind
My walking sticks are great costume pieces but serve just as well for a good hiking stick. Sturdy and meant to used and should last a lifetime
This cedar was doweled into round and shaped following the grain to give a worn hand-carved feel. the prominent knot was filled with shimmering red resin before shaping and remains to glow on the side half way down the shaft.
The Sphere head piece was caste and then pinned with quarter inch high quality mild steel and then fastened through the copper resin collar and deep into the top of the staff. the collar was backfilled with clear resin making for a very secure and lasting finish. All this work makes the head piece feel like a part of the wood.
Staff was finish with a black leather hand grip and three coats of lacquer.
