Wonderfully lustrous and wrinkle-resistant, this hand knit turquoise necktie is made with a silk and cotton blend yarn (80% silk/20% cotton) in deep blue-green turquoise with silvery-gray undertones.

Knit on extra-fine needles in a double moss stitch, this tie has standard necktie shaping to reduce bulk around the neck when worn. The yarn was selected for its distinctive color and texture as well as durability and colorfastness. The tie was fully finished with a center seam down the reverse/back side. This center back seam is necessary because the tie was knit flat, rather than as a tube, and helps the tie retain its shape by preventing it from twisting on itself. The last photo shows this seam.

This tie may be hand-washed in a mild detergent and laid flat to air-dry. A cool iron may also be used.
