70s brutalist cylindrical signed art pottery vase. Wood fired Japanese organic natural high quality footed vessel. Incised textural fern-like vase.

This is just one of the most interesting and unique pottery pieces I have ever come across. It is brutalist style unglazed wood fired cylindrical vase that is pinched at the bottom to form a three footed pedestal. It has beautiful earthy naturalistic color pattern with gray, purple and black as the foremost colors. The vessel high quality is incised throughout the entire piece forming what almost looks like fossilized ferns or leaves. It is signed on one of the feet but I'm unable to make out the initials. The vase is very Japanese in style with a natural organic vibe. It was purchased at an estate where there was a lot of Japanese pottery. The vase measures: 7.5 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. No damage.
