Six beautiful vintage Japanese high quality porcelain plates with a bamboo design - Arita ware made by Mansen

I, and my brothers and sister, were born and raised in Japan during the 1950s and 1960s; our parents were missionaries. During that time we and our mother collected many unique Japanese antiques. My 95-year-old mother, who continued to collect antiques in Japan until my parents' retirement in 1989, is finally giving up some of her treasures.

I love these small vintage Japanese Arita ware porcelain plates with a bamboo design, signed Mansen. They are unused and are in mint condition. As one would expect of vintage Japanese plates, there is some variability in the high quality placement of the design among the plates; for this reason we have shown images of all six plates. Also, there are small specks in the beautiful blue border; again, these were generated during the creation of the plates. The rims are a gorgeous rich blue, contrasting well with the delicate blue bamboo motif. Each plate is 6 x 7.5 inches, and the set weighs 2 lb 7.5 oz total.
