Burmeister's high quality Porpoise in Recycled Hardwood

Burmeister's Porpoise is found in a wide range along the coast of southern South America. They are shy, undemonstrative, and tend to travel in small groups. The animal has not been widely studied.
My version of this stand-offish cetacean was carved from rescued hardwood, stained, painted, and protected with clear acrylic spray. He measures about 9-1/2" long and 7-1/2" high by 3-3/4" wide at the pectorals. He is mounted to a maple base and dated and initialed by myself.
