Unclear what printing process, underside shows some impression of front design.

Seated costumed Geisha playing a traditional Japanese instrument in interior with hanging painted paper lanterns; title in bands with Oriental style lettering.

Bold graphic style. Black line and dramatic black and red color on yellow background.

Measures: 15 1/2" X 12".

Dryer (1880 - 1937) was an American artist. He was a student of Robert Henri, and had a studio in Paris for many years, participating in many of the prominent exhibitions there. It is possible (though not verified) this work was done when he was a student at the private school Phillips Andover.

Good bright condition; horizontal crease across upper part of paper; few other light creases, one diagonal across lower right corner.
