Rare 1983 Signed Thomas Buechner III Art Glass Vitrix Vase (Vitrix Hot Glass Studio)
This vase is more of a peach color and has a modern look to it. It is frosted glass, signed and dated on bottom "Thomas Buechner III Vitrix 1983", measures approximately 5 3/4"" high x 9" across x 7 1/2" deep. It has applied clear frosted trailing handles, and flared mouth.
Excellent condition-the second pic shows a small mark on one side.
An art glass innovator, Thomas Buechner III was a founding partner in Vitrix Studio in Corning, NY and helped to develop the Heechee line of hand blown swirl sculptures. His works have been exhibited in galleries throughout the world and are included in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass and Tom has been integrally involved in the production of works that have been published and exhibited internationally and can be found in fine stores and galleries across the US and in Canada, Europe and Japan.
