This skull mask is based on the tradition of day of the dead or dia de los muertos. This is a holiday I grew up celebrating and continue this tradition today.
The mask is stoneware and smoke fired. The left high quality side has light blue terra sigillata and the right side is yellow.
The size of the mask is 9 ¾ inches tall, 6 ¼ inches wide, and 2 ¾ inches deep. The mask has a coated copper wire attached, ready to hang. The picture of the back is representative to show the hanger. This mask may have a different clay body.
