Adorable 1940's cotton day dress in a light red cotton, with rick rack details at the front of the skirt and left shoulder, and bow at the right shoulder. Little flutter/cap sleeves and full skirt. Side metal zipper. Tag reads “Laura Lee, Original Junior a Hope Skillman”. I could not get this on my dress form so this is shown pinned to my dress form.
This beauty has been loved and has a few dings, but still presents beautifully! There are two smalls holes on the front of the skirt, but they disappear into the folds of the skirt. There are two other small holes at the back right shoulder and back high quality right sleeve. Both of the armpits at the front have been mended. One of the three decorative buttons is missing. It's the center one so its visually balanced and could be worn as is or replaced. There is a 1” hole in he fabric at the back of the neck and body of the dress that could be quickly repaired. No fading, smells or stains. Despite the flaws listed, this darling presents beautifully and is ready to be worn!
