This is a nice made box with hinged top and latch. Looks cedar or pine, has a unusual smell so guessing cedar but check pictures to be sure. Has cool curved leg design and nice clear coat on top and sides. Great knots on top but high quality has wood imperfection with ruff grove area size of a finger so not sure if from making process or done during use. Wood is unfinished on underside and inside, so show natural wood. Numbered on bottom 409. Nice trinket box for Jewelry storage or keepsakes.
Box has imperfection to top over a knot/ wood imperfection and feels like a grove, then the average wear from age and use with scratches, scuffs, handling marks, hardware is tarnishing and starting a Patina. Top fits, works good and design is lovely! Box is ready for use.
Good size keepsake box that measures 9 1/4" wide x 4" deep and 3 1/2" tall. Good weight at close 1 pound.
