Rare Vintage Signed Bobley Brooch and Earring Set c.1955. Joseph Bobley was one of the original designers and owners of Castlecliff jewelry, founded in New York in 1917. He eventually branched out on his own in the '50s, putting his own name on his creations. However, the Bobley name was only active for just a few years, high quality so "Bobley" signed jewelry is very rare.
The brooch features goldtone swirls, four green marquis shaped rhinestones, and a huge, dome shaped green glass centerpiece (Gripoix-style). The matching earrings are composed of a large green glass dome as seen on the brooch. The brooch measures 2 inches across. The earrings are about 3/4 inches in diameter and height. The set is in excellent condition.
