Sarreguemines is a municipality in the northeast of France, where pottery and ceramics were made for many years.
The pottery tableware of Sarreguemines are world famous. In two more than 200 years, the small family business, which originated as a tile factory during the French Revolution around 1790, has come a long way. The 2 gentlemen Utzschneider and the Geiger, have brought the small French town of Serreguemines to the top of pottery industry. The activities cease on 1 February 2007. The pottery factory of Sarreguemines no longer exists. Lunéville-St Clemente continues to make certain tableware.
