This is a festive hand made, one of a kind, original work of art, from found objects masterfully designed into a hanging wall sculpture of an Awakened Green Man!

It is a collectible work of art completely handmade and an original, meaning it is the only one like it in the world. Completely assembled by hand from Found Objects including distressed / weathered driftwood, a rusty tin can, an upcycled game box, rusty bottle tops and hardware, from the shores of Maui Beaches, awakened eyes. This will bring life to any room or garden area and joy to all who view it.

The Driftwood is hand painted with acrylic paint and mixed media including rusty hardware, and found marine items from the shores of the beach.

After managing a fine art gallery on the island of Maui for 15 years, I now comb the beaches, for hours, looking for the treasures which have been discarded, and, collect them to create unique art. Through a labor of pure love, I transform recyclables into unique and wonderful fine art that will have everyone lingering to get a better look.

It takes weeks to bring a work of art like this to life, and it is something that can be passed down for generations, always bringing happiness to anyone who sees it. Giving new life to amazing discarded objects like plastic, bottle tops, a tin can, game box, marine items and old driftwood, keeps them out of landfills and out of the ocean, and helps to keep our Earth green and clean.

One can only wonder where this rusty can came from and the history of it. Where was the original item, and how did this end up on the shoreline of a beach on Maui? What was in the original container. Where did it start it's journey and how did it end up here? How long did it rock back and forth with the waves, until it washed ashore all distressed and weathered. And where did the driftwood come from? Where was the original tree? How did it end up here? What is it's history? Let your imagination take you on a journey.

It is quite amazing how this draws you in and fills you with energy. The expressive face brings joy, and you will be fixated on energy and feeling.

The other wonderful thing about this, is you are helping the earth to breathe a little bit better. Not only are we able to clean the beach, but we are also able to keep plastic out of landfills.

Did you know it takes hundreds of years to break down high quality in a landfill" This is such a wonderful added benefit, knowing you helped the Earth, through the love of Art. Everyone will be fascinated, and want to know where you got it, and if they can get one!

After I spend hours on the beach hand selecting each piece, I bring it back to the studio, and clean it. This is very labor intensive. After it is cleaned, I sort it, After the sorting is complete, I lay out the design. After it is in the design I want, then I meticulously assemble everything to create a man sculpture. The limbs are joined together with natural twine. It is ready to display in your favorite place, or to give as a gift to someone special.

Hand signed and dated in black pen, on back, this original art can be placed indoors or outside, as you wish. Would be great in a game room, entryway, kitchen, outdoor living space, nursery, home office, or anywhere you will be able to view it regularly to bring joy and put a smile on your face.
