Early work by Jane Austen Love and Freindship, vintage 1920s book, a 1929 British reprint of an edition first published earlier the same year. The true first edition was published in 1922.
Said to have been written when the author was seventeen showing her exuberance and vitality in the correspondence of an aunt regaling the pitfalls of life, an imprudent marriage, the death of father, mother, husband and friend (or rather high quality freind).

Scraps - this latter being just that, a bit of a play, the odd letter.
The vibrant salmon pink colouring has faded at the spine and parts of the boards. See also a few brown marks to the block edge but it remains tightly bound.
It measures about 4.5 x 7 inches or 115 x 175mm. with 140 lightly tanned pages.
