high quality My paintings are inspired by my surrounding Devon countryside and its beautiful villages. I paint by instinct and feel my way to deliver a balance of colour and space influenced by my love of early 20th Century art such as expressionism, post-impressionism and the Fauve movement.

It is an original acrylic painting double mounted with a 6"x 6" picture aperture. It is in a white painted wooden frame (12"x 12") under glass ready to hang.

I am lucky to live in beautiful Devon with my wife, six children and assortment of animals. It is here that I find the odd moment to do my art between the millions of other daily bits and pieces that, like everyone else, is required just to keep life afloat. Still this is the place to do it amid the glorious country and seaside. My studio in the back of the shed is a long way from Chelsea School of Art, London, where I studied but it does the trick. We live in a fantastic small village where Sir Walter Raleigh was baptized and just close to where he was born and grew up. The river Otter runs between us and the hills beyond providing a beautiful and inspiring view.
