This image is an original photographic print made by contact printing an enlarged negative onto a water-colour paper hand-coated with ‘Liquid Emulsion'. This print and the technique were described in a 1996 issue of “Darkroom User” magazine which I used to publish in the UK several years ago.
The original image was selected from those taken on either a Hasselblad SWC or Nikon F3 through the window of the Orangery at Syon House, Middlesex, UK in 1978… images from the shoot being published in several magazines and used on the cover of “Indoor Photography” published by Focal Press in 1983.
Unlike prints made on manufactured photographic paper, this print was made in 1996 and is individual, unique, and cannot be reproduced exactly the same because of the irregularities of the hand-coating of light-sensitive emulsion beforehand to prepare the paper. The paper size is 30 x 21 cms (11.75 x 8.25 inches), and the overall size of the glazed wood frame is 34 x 25 cms (appx. 13.3 x 9.75 inches). Because it is glazed and framed, it will be well protected when packed, with suitable padding protection and wrapping to travel through the system with minimal chance of damage.
As with all my items currently listed high quality I include a basic minimal charge for postage and packing, although the actual cost to me is greater. If registration and/or a 'signed on delivery' service is required please contact me first as there may - not always - be an extra charge depending on the destination.
Note: Price includes the photographic image, glazed natural wood frame and normal postage (but not any other items used in the still-life photo).
