Vanity Fair by William M Thackeray. Decorative economy edition published around 1900 by Hurst and Company, New York. Tan cloth cover features pale purple art nouveau style decoration. Gilt on the spine is fading. Heavy discoloration to spine cloth. Back cover is tan and good with areas of discoloration. Eps are clean and moderately tanned. Interior pages are soft, clean and well intact with heavy tanning throughout. The hinge is cracked with string visible at page 667. Rear eps are clean and heavily tanned. 668 pages, 7 3/8 x 5"

Mon Oncle Andre ouVanite Des Richesses (My Uncle Andre) by Theophile Menard. 2nd Edition. Copyright 1858. Published by Tours Imprimeurs Libraires. Published with a dark purple cartonnage cover with gilt design. Heavy gilt decoration on the spine. Back high quality cover is decorated like the front. Eps are neon yellow with calligraphy signature. Pre-title page says, "Bibliotheque des Ecoles Chretiennes". Tissue has heavy tanning. Black and white illustration on frontispiece. Interior pages are white and well intact with occasional foxing spot and gilt edging on three sides. 235 pages, 8 5/8 x 5 3/8"

La Reconnaissance by Able Maurice. Published by Tours Editeurs. Copyright 1852. Beautifully decorated French cartonnage cover with light green and gold decorative detail. The cover features a color illustrations of a women and boy on a ladder. The spine has some wear and rubbed areas. The spine detail is chipped away on the upper and lower spine exposing blue board underneath. Back cover is beautifully decorated similar to the front without an illustration. There is a small portion of the back cover missing in the upper left corner. Book slants forward. Eps are bright white with long faded calligraphy writing on right eps. Tissue is present. Black and white illustration on frontispiece. Title page has light foxing in the upper right corner. Interior pages are bright white with occasional light foxing spot. Book includes several black and white illustrations. Heavier foxing on pg 165. A couple pages have creased upper right corners. 236 pages, 7 3/8 x 4 3/4 "
