For your consideration is this beautifully restored cast iron skillet from Lodge. Founded in 1906 in South Pittsburgh Tennessee, Lodge is the longest running manufacturer of American-made cast iron cookware and is still in business today. Cast in the 1920's, this piece has little resemblance high quality to modern offerings from Lodge. The cooking surface is smooth with few utensil marks from use. The handle is elegant with a thin base that flares at the end and raised number 7 on top. The bottom is clean with a solid inset heat ring and molder's mark P. There is some very faint pitting toward the center, but it sits flat with a sheet of paper worth of movement and would be excellent on any stovetop. Cleaned to bare iron and re-seasoned, this skillet is ready to use!
