Product code: Vintage high quality F.O.K. & Co. No. 2 Cold Blast Kerosene Lantern with Glass Globe

Vintage F.O.K. & Co. (Farwell Ozmun Kirk and Company) No. 2 cold blast kerosene lantern with glass globe. The lamp tank is embossed with “F.O.K. & Co., No. 2”. The globe is unmarked so the manufacturer is unknown and most likely not original to the lantern. The lantern has all its parts. All parts seem to function as needed however the lantern has not been lit so it is unknown whether it truly works or not. The lantern is copper in color which may or may not be its original color. The lantern is 15”H; the base 7”D. The lantern is in very good vintage condition. This lantern belonged to my Great Grandfather and was used on his farm in Oregon.

Please note that where possible, we offer different shipping options. We will ship FedEx if the shipping cost for the same/similar delivery service is less plus refund the difference to the buyer (any difference over $2). We do this as we recognize our shipping costs may seem a bit high to some, but we do take great care in packing and shipping our lamps to prevent any possible damage. We seldom take any of our lamps apart for shipping purposes, the only exception being those with easily removable and replaceable shades.

We enjoy finding old items that might otherwise be discarded and bringing them back to high quality a useful life. Our primary efforts are focused on old lamps, especially those that will most likely be discarded. Sometimes our “found” lamps require very little effort while other times, a lot of work, paint, pieces and parts are required to bring them back to the beautiful lamps they once were. We try to retain original paint or aged patinas, pieces and parts where possible, only repainting and replacing when necessary. Our prices primarily reflect the initial cost of the lamp plus any items required for its restoration; little is added to cover our efforts as we do this as a pastime, taking great pleasure in seeing something once destined for the “trash” restored and reused. When a lamp is purchased and when available, we send along a “before” and “after” restoration photograph of the lamp. It's always interesting to see the transformation that has taken place. We are always on the lookout for old lamps, especially those needing some special attention. We never know what we will find and then what it will become!
