Vintage Table/Dresser Smoking Set With Tray With Sailing Ship Motif- Covered Cigarette high quality Box, Match/Lighter Box, Ashtray, and Tray

This is a really unique set that will appeal to the collector of all thing tobacco, as well as those who are interested in ships and sailing. This set consists of four pieces: tray, tobacco/cigarette box with lid, ashtray, and lighter/match holder. It has a sailing ship and wave motif. The loose tobacco or cigarette box is decorated with an embossed ship and waves. Waves are on the tray, ashtray, and lighter holder. The lighter or match holder is probably the size of a vintage Zippo lighter, but does hold match boxes as well. I believe this set is probably Japanese in origin. It is a heavy metal of undetermined type, but is probably pewter. The lids to the ashtray and cigarette holder are interchangeable.

The condition is good for vintage. There is also a dent in the cigarette holder. It does have some scratches in the paint, and it looks like it may have been possibly painted over the original finish. There are some areas where the paint has rubbed off as well. All of the damage is covered in the photos. Even though it appears to have been used sometime in the past, it does not smell of tobacco. The tray measures 85/8" long, 5" wide, and 1/4" high. Both cigarette box and ashtray measure 3 3/4" long, 2 1/2" wide, and 1 1/4" high. The lighter/match holder measures 1" long, 1 3/4" wide, and 2 1/4" high.

All of my items are vintage, and as such may have some wear, scuffs, or signs of age. I try to be scrupulously honest with my descriptions, and will let you know if there is a significant chip or other damage. I have bought from the internet and opened a damaged item with great sadness, and don't high quality ever want to do that to you!
