Below I am listing the types of Editing we offer and a bit about them. All of these are assuming that your book is 1000 words or less. On average Developmental Editing may take as long as 2-4 weeks depending on revisions and the state of your manuscript.

Three's Company Package (Includes, Developmental, Line, and Copy Editing)

Developmental Editing: $399.95

Development editing may be viewed as an overhaul of the book. It means the book gets a detail and substantial, structural editing with the aim of enhancing or developing the book. Developmental editing typically involves both copy-editing and proofreading but goes far beyond that to include examining, critiquing and making suggestions about other areas of the book such as the plot, setting, characters, pacing, the structure and flow of the story and the general presentation of the story.
If you have limited or no experience writing children's books, you may need developmental editing support from QBN Studios. Nevertheless, QBN Studios considers that this is the first phase that you will go through as an author, whether high quality or not you are experienced.

Line Editing

Line editing is a more detailed structural editing which is directed at the more detailed aspects of writing. Particular attention is paid to how ideas flow, sentence construction and transitions, vocabulary, overall tone, and the specific writing style based on the theme of the book and the target audience. Therefore, line editing is intended to make the writing better, smoother, more fluid and relatable by addressing verbosity and redundancy without losing the authenticity of the message or the essence of the author.



Lone Soldier Package: $99.95 (Only Copy Editing)

Copy Editing

Copy editing is a word-by-word editing of written text to correct language, grammar, syntax issues. Copy editing addresses typographical, spelling and punctuation errors.



Eagle Eyes Package: $59.95 (Only Proofreading)

Proofreading

Proofreading is the final step in getting your children's book ready for printing and publication. This is where the book is typically in its formatted and illustrated format to be proofed by reviewing for spelling, punctuation, typographical or consistency errors.
