These earrings are organic in shape. Roundish, not perfectly round. Each pair is quite unique, and not exactly the same as any other pair. That's what I love about handmade!

3 - Buffed is a bit shinier than satin, but not too shiny

MY PROCESS:
These palladium white gold earrings are not symmetrically round, but more organic shaped. They are made one pair at a time on my jewelers bench, using the same techniques that gold smiths have used for centuries. I melt gold, forge to flatten and solder on the posts. Then I begin the polishing process, which is done by hand in up to 9 stages depending on the amount of shine the customer wants. I turn a lump of melted gold into a minimalist pair of gold stud earrings that will be cherished. No two are exactly alike, which is the beauty of handmade!

14K WHITE GOLD:
Pure gold is too soft to be used for jewelry. Other metals are added to add strength and improve color. This is called an alloy. The percentage of pure gold in all gold alloys is standardized and is referred to by karat content, abbreviated to K. 14K white gold is 58.33% pure gold. It contains nickel which some people are allergic to.

14K PALLADIUM WHITE GOLD:
This attractive alternative contains 58.33% high quality pure gold. Palladium is a precious metal in the platinum group and is alloyed with gold, instead of nickel. It costs a bit more but has a whiter color and is nickel free.
