The super cute backing fabric was the inspiration for the colors in this quilt. Pastel blue, pink, green, lavender, yellow and orange make up this fun color pallet. Such sweet colors for that new baby! The blocks really pop against the white background. The border is a soft sky blue and I did a scrappy binding from same fabrics in the quilt and it's machine-sewn to the top and meticulously hand-sewn to the back. The backing is a soft flannel print with the cutest little giraffes, elephants, alligators, lions and rhinos! At approximately 37” square, this quilt would be perfect for that new baby. Would also work for tummy time, a fun play mat or even a great wall-hanging to brighten your child's room. Toddlers would love snuggling up with this one for nap time as well. All fabric is quality 100% cotton. Quilt was machine-pieced and machine-quilted using white thread in a free-motion loopy pattern. I used an 80% cotton, 20% polyester batting in this one and it sure is soft and cozy! Quilt is machine washable on gentle cycle and tumble dry low heat and high quality will only get softer and cozier with each wash, as well as get that crinkly vintage-look.
