Fun Fact: This purse used to belong to the one of Hollywood's top Interior Designers. I purchased this purse from the late Laura and Gene Mako Estate sell. She decorated Dean Martin's, Bob Hope, and former president Gerald Ford homes (and many more). And Gene won the tennis Wimbledon doubles competition 4 times! (I purchased 2 of her Nantucket purses $250 each - I know! I fell in love with her biography and couldn't help myself during the auction) I'm currently moving and trying downsize so selling this little cutie at a discount) Vintage Nantucket Lightship [oval Friendship basket] purse by J. B. Pierce. high quality Circa 1971 Typical form with swing handle, three carved ivory seagulls upon the lid as well as ivory button feet, ivory pin closure and handle fasteners, dated 4-9-1971 Vintage in great condition for age. Please note One of handle fasteners came loose, however you can still open and close with no problems. Please see photos. Dimensions About 8 inches tall and 6 inches wide.
