A bit of history from the brand

In April 1949 a young man ,23 years of age, opened JILDOR, a very small shoe store in Cedarhurst, Long Island. The policy of the store was to sell women's fashionable shoes while providing outstanding service and reliability. Due to the principle of treating the customer the way he would like to be treated, the business started to grow. A few years later, JILDOR moved to a larger location, where it presently stands.

In 1959 a second JILDOR opened in Great Neck, Long Island.
