A one-of-a-kind creation made from polymer clay, wire frame, and Acrylic paints. Painstakingly formed by hand and brush painted to ensure that it cannot be reproduced again.
The simplest drawing is the beginning my sculpts, as I love to leave space for the creative impulse to lend originality along the way to this final product. How the high quality grain of fur, scales, stripes move are all chosen during the build. Of the million possibilities that could have been chosen, i have settled on this as a final product; much like other art pieces.
I have created polymer ornaments and creatures for years and years. However, this guy and his friends are a unique diversion from them. I simply sat in front of a blank sheet of drawing paper and started sketching odd combinations of shapes, forms, and possibilities. Some creatures are familiar in ways that are clear, but added to them are unusual or unlikely features.
Be warned that although they may look like a fun, playful critters; they aren't action figures that have twelve posable joints.
Please treat them as they are-- One-of-a-kind works of art.
