Singapore scenery - Lorong high quality Buangkok

One of the very few villages or “ kampong” left in urbanised Singapore.

Single storey wooden houses with zinc roof or high quality “ Attap”leaves roofs built in the early days before concrete high rise public housing was introduced.

Now “Buangkok “ village ,with less than a dozen houses left , is fully surrounded by high rise public housing. It is even challenging to find them.

It's a matter of time all these houses will be gone , giving way to high rise flats in this land scarce Singapore.
