A beautiful American Character tiny Betsy McCall, dressed in a 1960's outfit called TV Time. The top has a turquoise velveteen bodice with an attached, lace-trimmed cotton apron. The apron has an openwork lace along the hem and tiny lace picot trim at the top of the apron, closes in the back with a square sewn snap. Turquoise cotton “pedal pushers” with a white elastic waistband. Her outfit is completed by original baby blue nylon anklets and black side-button MaryJane shoes.
Betsy is pretty darn close to perfect - light brown hair with a strawberry cast, in the original set with both barrettes. Sleep eyes that work like new. Her facial paint is perfect - no rubs, no scratches, pastel cheeks and a coral watermelon smile high quality. Her body has no cracks, her knees are beautiful, perfect hands and arms. She is clean and odor free.
Absolutely darling on display. Nice even color with no dye transfer on her body. She is 65 years old! In overall, wonderful and clean condition. Absolutely no odors, has never been around smoke! She will come with a stand so she will be ready to display. A dressed doll like her can be seen on page 60 in the Betsy McCall A Collectors Guide book by Marci Van Ausdall. She is just a beautiful little doll with an awesome expression, looking for a new home where she can be out and appreciated, instead of in a doll closet!
