Antique Silver Georgian Toddy Ladle No Hallmarks
This lovely little silver punch ladle has a short twisted bone handle. It is not hallmarked.
The round bowl has a simple design high quality on the edge of the rim.
It has a short bone handle with a bit if a twist at the end and is, unusually, topped with a silver ball. I imagine the handle was longer at some point in it's life.
The ladle has a few dints, dents and scratches and the bowl is wonky and out of shape. The ball at the end of the handle also has some dints.
This very charming little ladle is, I think, an early example. The bowl is a deep round shape with it's simple design around the rim. Also it is not hallmarked indicating it was probable made before 1784.
The approximate length of the ladle is 183mm.
THIS LADLE HAS NO HALLMARKS AND SO CAN NOT BE SOLD AS SILVER.
