Yashica high quality T* AF - #019089

high quality The Zeiss glass is here. The Yashica T* AF with a Carl Zeiss Tessar 35mm f/3.5 is here. Actually, I don't think the lens is the biggest selling point of this camera. I think it's the auto focus. It's super quick, not only for being a compact. It's the best thing about this camera. That feature alone makes this a fabulous street photography tool. It's just fast and easy to use so that you can focus on the world around and not the camera.

This example has spent quite a lot of time on the service desk. It had a broken flash and a broken film door latch. Both have been repaired and I have shot a bunch of rolls through to make sure it works as it should, which it does. It's a fun camera to shoot, mainly because it's fast and responsive due to its excellent autofocus.

The biggest downside is that it's just like all early 1980's cameras quite loud, the film transport makes a lot of noise. Even though it's freshly lubricated, it's just plain loud.
