A super stylish original vintage Winter Birds pendant; designed by the renowned American sculptor Don Everhart II.
Don Everhart II was born in Pennsylvania, graduated with a B.A. in fine arts, after which he joined Franklin Mint in 1973 and became their staff sculptor for five years before leaving to focus on private commissions in 1980.
This piece is from the height of his work for Franklin Mint during the late 1970s and features a charming design of two winter birds on branches surrounded by falling snowflakes. The reverse reads 'Love is like a winter bird that cheers the coldest day'.
On its original chain it looks great on its own or layered with other pieces. The perfect addition to any vintage jewellery lovers collection!
