WHY I LOVE THIS NECKLACE: Like tumbled river rocks, these genuine green Turquoise nuggets are paired with an amazing sterling silver and 14 karat gold toggle clasp. It has versatility, as you can wear the clasp to the front, side or back. The stones are big and scrumptious. You can't not notice this statement necklace when you wear it - it's stunning! I really like chunky necklaces and the beads used in this one are breath taking.

DESCRIPTION: Large, beautiful green turquoise beads are interspersed with small 14 karat gold plated daisy style spacer beads. Round sterling beads echo the smooth, rounded shapes of the turquoise and they, interspersed with the gold spacers, lead to the toggle, which can be worn positioned at the back, side or front. The toggle measures 1-1/2" in diameter. It is marked 925 for sterling silver. The Turquoise beads are graduated, and measure from approximately 3/4" to 1-1/2". Total length of necklace is 20" long.

ABOUT THE BEADS: Dark green turquoise, with a smooth, rounded shape, almost like slightly flattened marbles. Some have slight imperfections to the finish where the natural texture of the stone shows through just a bit. Some beads have marbling where a lighter green shows through. They are quite beautiful beads. The beads themselves were purchased from a turquoise dealer in the American Southwest. They were then assembled into this necklace. I do not know what mine the turquoise originated from.

Turquoise is a very spiritual stone, used as amulets by many people around the world. It is a healing, protective stone that is said to open the chakras and can be used to facilitate communication between the physical and the spiritual realms. It is believed to enhance latent psychic abilities, amplifies intuition, and brings insight and wisdom. It is also the birthstone of December.
