Medieval European Pilgrim’s Cross high quality 7th-10th Century

Bronze, of symmetrical form with the square center. The front incised with a radiant cross with remnants of pewter inlay. Reverse plain. 7/8” height. Originally plated, dating to the turbulent period leading up to the Crusades high quality which were largely to capture the Holy Land from Islam. Good patina with the suspension loop intact and wearable. Gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
