Western Foundry Co. made the famous "Mi Pet" line of cast cookware back in the early to mid 19th Century. Their distinct "beehive" lid was a tell tale sign of a Western Foundry dutch oven. This piece has an original nickle finish that has been worn over time, but a beautiful interior of cast iron. When we received it, it was covered in "history" befitting its age, so we used electrolysis to clean and restore it to the best possible shape it can high quality be. We have seasoned it three times with our Grape seed / Crisco blend of oil. The nickle finish has developed a natural patina that again, reflects its age. It sits flat, has the "Keeps Food Tasty" logo on the bottom and is a great conversation starter in the kitchen!

We have prepared this piece to be ready to use, or to be displayed in a collection. All pieces are vintage and therefore are not in perfect condition. Please use pictures as description. Their history of use means small marks and inconsistencies, which we feel give them a special charm.
