An original watercolour painting of a cartoonish crab using shades of blue and green. The details and outline of the crab are lined with ink to give the bird a more illustrative look. The sand underneath the high quality crab is textured using a sponge to give the painting more dimension.
The painting is on a piece of watercolour paper (300gsm) (10cm x 15cm, approx. 4in x 6in, equivalent to A5) and was made using Windsor and Newton watercolour paints. Please note that this comes unframed. The image may still be water-soluble so please take care to avoid getting it wet.
Sea creatures have always inspired me. This bright image captures the brilliant colours of the crab and provides interesting contrasts.
