high quality Richly colored original pastel painting of fruit with a green pitcher and white tablecloth. The painting is matted in a creamy butter-colored mat with a green border line. The matted painting is ready to be framed in a standard 16" by 20" frame. The mat is original to the painting. The original frame was in very poor condition, so I discarded it. The two photos of the painting in frames are to give examples of how the painting might look framed. The frames are not included.

The painting was done in soft pastels, which, because of the high pigment content, resulted in very vibrant colors - perfect for depicting luscious fruits! The painting is beautifully done by a trained artist, although it has not been signed. I love the highlights on the green pitcher, and the delicate fringe on the white tablecloth.

The artwork is not dated. According to my internet research, the Craftint Manufacturing Company, which manufactured the paper, was incorporated in 1929. I saw several patents by the company through about 1970.

Condition: The painting and mat are in very good condition, with no tears or stains.

Dimensions: 16" by 20" will fit a standard, ready made frame. Framing under glass recommended.
