1000 Butterflies Patterned Teapot. If not a thousand, at least a plethora of butterflies, gorgeously hand painted on thin translucent porcelain from China ca 1890. The teapot is covered with black bordered butterflies hand painted in vivid polychrome enamels with a gold and white background. The teapot handle is bamboo stalk-shaped and had gold and red high quality paint. The bottom of the teapot is stamped CHINA in red paint.
