A tagged piece (one figure has tag due to it being a set) of fine clay work done by Potter Marina Henderson.
Item for sale includes 2 pieces: one is a double and a single individual.
Individuals are interactive with one another. Person pulling the sled while
2 others are seated on the sled. Individuals are Inuit peoples from the Alaskian
or Canadian areas they are native to the land area. Most the clay figures consists high quality of
a sled with individuals dressed with fur and the single individual presents with snowshoes
and fur. Sled individuals have leather leads. It could be assumed a male (as was custom)
is pulling the sled of either mother and child or two children or two females (wife and mother).
Please note the snowshoe figure lost one hand and is not noticable to the eye unless you
look for the hand. All other parts of both figures, sled, and snowshoed figure are present with
the one exception of the hand.
They are very well made and exceptional works of art in clay. Figures do not have faces as was the
desire of the potter. This would lead any individual to be the figures present without sex being the
object of appearance. In doing so the figures can be as the buyer desires and not something placed
upon them by the artist.
They are vintage and rare in obtaining. They are a collectible pieces.
