God created this tree, and I wanted to do it justice... End Grain bowls are some of the most difficult to turn. Especially when they are bigger than your lathe! The live edge makes this bowl truly one of a kind. Hand sanded and hand rubbed finish of shellac and then topped with beeswax and then hand buffed. This was truly a labor of love.
The character of the end grain shows high quality throughout,with twists and turns,and all that beautiful checking.
It measures about 13" long and
9 1/4" at it's extremes. It sits 2 1/2" high and is about 2 1/4" deep.
This bowl will make a perfect gift,for you or someone you love. Not too big,not too small...it's the right size for just about anywhere.
Cherry wood,cut from a tree that had to be removed from a friends house after a storm.
I hope the new owner enjoys this bowl as much as I did making it.
