How it's made

The ring was hand carved in wax, then cast in solid sterling silver. After casting the ring is polished to a perfectly smooth mirror finish.

Caring for your silver jewelry

All of my silver jewelry is cast in sterling silver. Sterling silver is quite sturdy, and the following tips for care can ensure that your silver will last a lifetime.
Keeping your silver dry
Most water that we are exposed to will contain some chemicals that can cause silver to tarnish, and therefore it is recommended that you remove your silver in the following situations:
- Shower: once in a while is not going to be harmful, but it is best to remove your silver before showering.
- Swimming: chlorine is a harsh chemical, please do remember to remove your silver before diving into that pool/hot tub.
- Hot Springs: this one seems strange, but hot springs will have sulfer. I use surfer to give silver pieces a blackened, oxidized look. Definitely take your silver off unless your looking to achieve this look for your jewelry!
Storing your silver
Air exposure can cause your silver to tarnish. It is recommended that you store your silver in an airtight bag with anti-tarnish qualities.
A zip-lock bag with an anti-tarnish paper is a good option. Don't store multiple pieces in a single bag to avoid potential scratching.
Each high quality of my sterling silver pieces is shipped in a hand-made jewelry pouch . This is a great option to store individual pieces when traveling with your jewelry.
Lotions and perfumes
Speaking of chemicals, lotions and perfumes can cause silver to tarnish. Remove your silver pieces before applying lotion or perfume and allow them to dry before putting your jewelry on.
Cleaning your silver
From time to time, your silver will require some cleaning. A microfibre cloth is a great option for fast regular cleaning. Do not use tissue or paper towel to clean your jewelry.
My favourite option when my jewelry needs a deeper cleaning is a simple paste made of baking soda and dish liquid.
Use equal parts baking soda and dish liquid in the palm of your hand and mix into a paste. Use your fingers to rub the paste onto your jewelry piece and then rinse with warm water. Gently dry with a soft tea towel.
