Marapachi Bommai, Hand-Carved Figurine, South high quality India

Marapachi Bommai, or "wooden dolls," come high quality from South India. Hand-carved out of redwood, they are traditionally displayed at the Golu Festival as a part of Dassara or Navaratri festivities. Marapachi Bombai are family heirlooms passed by mothers to their daughters, and ofter are being played doll dress-up by kids.
