A simply wonderful vintage 1920s marigold glass / Carnival Glass Jug / Vintage Water Pitcher that was made in England by Sowerby
This range of marigold glass was named Sunglow by Sowerby and manufactured in Gateshead south of the River Tyne - in the North East of England. Carnival glass pieces were given away as prizes at carnivals and movie theaters in the 1910s and '20s.
It stands 4 1/4 inches high and has a top rim diameter of 2 5/8 inches.
The condition is good but it has a couple of dark marks on one foot and couple on the inside which are in the glass but overall it is lovely and clean and in fine fettle for the age.
It would be a beautiful addition to any collection, excellent high quality display or practical piece, or authentic period prop.
