Chic Vintage Kid Leather Suede Trim high quality Gloves, Silk Lined, Black/Vintage Designer Gloves/Long Black Kid Leather Gloves

Among the many, many vintage black leather gloves you can find, these are a standout, beginning with the unusual – and quite chic – design. The cuffs fan out for a touch of flair, a design enhanced by the suede inserts to form contrasting stripes of leather and suede. The gathered-at-the-wrist detail is another great design element. These styling details, coupled with the fine materials (buttery kid leather, soft suede, silk lining) and exquisite stitching, are features of the best quality gloves. These are surely designer gloves (probably Italian or French), and the golden “button” on each glove appears to be a logo (which I can't identify.)

My best estimate is that these gloves date from circa 1970s and, of course, vintage gloves tend to have signs of wear. This pair does have the inevitable wrinkles that come with even light wear to kid leather, but, as wrinkles “iron out” with appropriately tight-fitting kid gloves, they look great on! Most significant, there are no rips, no holes, no loose stitching, no scratches, scuffs, or stains. The lining of the left glove has some wear (see Condition, below), and these gloves are priced accordingly.

Too pretty to hide when worn, these gloves would look great with a short-sleeved coat (or turned up cuff), or just revel in the statement they make when removing your coat for the “great reveal”!

Size: Finger lengths from pinky to thumb: 2 ½”, 3 3/8”, 3 ½”; 3”; 3”. Total glove length: 12” from tip of middle finger to cuff. Approximate size 7, best fitting a small or small to medium hand.

Details: Black kid leather, black suede, silk lining

Condition: Excellent/very good vintage. Outer leather/suede: wrinkles; no holes, tears, stains, spots, loose stitching, loose threads, etc. Inner lining: Left glove has spots of wear and high quality 1 ¼” torn seam (can be sewn).
