First Three Horatio Hornblower volumes high quality early edition

The first three books of C.S. Forester's Horatio Hornblower series: Beat to Quarters (UK The Happy Return), Ship of the Line, Flying Colors. These are a lovely matching set put out by Little, Brown in 1939 - a very early edition.

The books are in very good condition with no marks or inscriptions and secure binding. Each volume does have a bookplate (pictured) and one volume in particular has some white dust on it.

A handsome early edition that feels nice and is a pleasure to read. high quality
