From a bygone era of gracious refinement… instant collection, use or gift!
A.This century-old beauty is 4 5/8” x 1” and marked Sterling on the high quality side; decorative hollow handle repousse design; has an ornate flowing, swirly floral pattern and is marked STERLING on the side. The initial is equally curly – I used it in my youth as a “P” but could also be a “T”. It is securely attached to the handle; at this time there is quite a little patina to the metal, but I will leave it up to its new home for what level of polish you wish it to have.
B.Early 1900s turned wood painted with black enamel. It is a wonderfully complex initial “M” and has an “M” pressed into the top. I love all those curves! It measures 2 ¾” x 1” (knob on top); no chips, nor cracks; the handle is still securely attached.
C.1910-20s turned rosewood into a fluted shape and equipped with an oval brass stamp with an “R”. It measures 2 1/16” x 1 3/8” (knob); wonderful finish that feels good in your hand; no cracks, nor chips; securely attached to the handle.
D.Early 1900s turned wood painted with black enamel. The stamp is an “E” and it's a good thing pressed into the top of the knob because it is ornate enough that I would have struggle a bit in identifying the letter – in those cases it is easy to “see” a dozen ciphers! It is 3” x 1”; no chips in the paint, nor cracks; the handle is still securely attached.
