This birdhouse is "under construction" yet completely finished. This is part of the housing boom around Nashville.
Like all Daisy Made Birdhouses, this should be post or stand mounted or a sturdy L bracket may be used.
The entire display is 10 1/2 inches tall with a base 10x10 1/2 inches. The inside dimensions are 4 1/2x4 1/2 inches and a 1 1/4 inch entrance hole. The shingles are asphalt dollhouse shingles that have been treated with 3 coats of outdoor grade paint and a finish coat high quality of spray acrylic. The shingles are glued and nailed to the cedar roof. The "roofing felt" is actually landscape fabric which has been glued and nailed to the roof as well as finished with acrylic spray. The siding is birch craft sticks that have been sprayed with outdoor grade primer and paint + acrylic spray, also glued and nailed to the wood. The ladder is plastic with bamboo rungs and the hammer is all cedar and is glued and nailed to the birdhouse. The cedar saw horses are glued to the base (cedar on cedar, no paint between) using Tightbond III, wood glue. The handsaw is cedar and metal flashing which is glued to the board, with Gorilla glue. There is a hinged drop down panel in the back for removal of old nests.
This birdhouse would fare better in a covered environment to prevent damage to the decorative items from hail or limbs.
Extra care is taken with packing/shipping, often box in box, this will reflect in the shipping costs.
